Possums Blewitt Springs
Chardonnay

Possums draws its name from a combination of those of the two owners John Possingham and Carol Summers.

The Single Vineyard, unwooded Chardonnay was made from grapes grown in Possums elevated Blewitt Springs Vineyard in the hills above McLaren Vale.

The Vineyard's soils are deep well drained sands, the rainfall is higher and the temperatures are significantly lower than in the Vale, giving ideal conditions for Chardonnay. Bunch selection, night picking and carefully controlled , cool fermentation, enabled the preservation of the bouquets and flavors of the grapes.

The wine is crisp and mineral with numerous layers of flavors including gooseberry, melon, grapefruit, green apple and lemon grass.
