Weemala Gewurztraminer: 2005 100% Gewurztraminer

Weemala is both an aboriginal word for good view and the name of the vineyard in the Central Ranges of NSW. The Central ranges is renowned for its cool weather and is home to the highest viticultural region in Australia-Orange- 2550-3000 feet above sea level. The climate, in conjunction with deep rich volcanic soils, makes the area ideal for producing fruit with a very high flavor and concentration, acid, balance and color.

Grown at an elevation of greater than 2700 feet on the slopes of Mount Canobolas at Orange.

All the grapes are picked at night to keep everything cool. The juice was clarified by cold settling and racking. Lightly filtered.
